The Role

Reporting to the Applications Manager, the IT Functional Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing Lite n' Easy's business applications and in-house systems. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to analyse requirements, develop solutions and ensure our systems continue to support operational excellence.

This is a hands-on role that combines business analysis, application support and solution development. You'll be responsible for gathering requirements, designing functional solutions, supporting users and contributing to the delivery of projects that improve business outcomes across the organisation.

You'll join a collaborative ICT team where you'll have the opportunity to influence best practice, mentor others and work on a variety of business-critical technologies and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document user requirements, functional specifications and technical specifications
  • Support and enhance business applications, ensuring performance, reliability and business alignment
  • Develop and support SQL Server reports using SSRS and manage data solutions within SQL environments
  • Investigate and resolve Level 2 application support issues while working closely with business stakeholders
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation activities and user documentation
  • Partner with the ICT team to design, develop and deliver application enhancements and new solutions
  • Manage project timelines from concept through to deployment and business adoption

About You

You are a technically capable Business Analyst who enjoys solving complex business problems and delivering practical technology solutions. You combine strong analytical skills with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.

  • 5+ years' experience supporting and enhancing business applications
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Strong experience with SQL Server, SSMS and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Experience supporting or developing applications using Microsoft Access, C#, VB.Net or similar technologies
  • Demonstrated business analysis experience including requirements gathering, documentation and solution design
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
