Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • High School
  • 5 years of Oil Field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Reading schematics, tool diagrams, and operating procedures
  • Pressure testing tools and connections
  • Diagnosing tool failures or communication problems
  • Responding effectively to changing well conditions
  • Making operational decisions under pressure

Working Conditions

Environment

  • Operate in extreme weather and remote locations
  • Work in varying temperature and around moving machinery Hours/Shifts
  • 24 hour call out Physical Demands
  • Lift and carry heavy parts and equipment (25-45lbs or more)
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Bending & Positioning • Visual & Sensory Requirements • Close Vision for inspecting small parts and reading gauges • Ability to distinguish colors (important for wiring) • Hear on usual sounds or engine noises for diagnosis • Work in varying temperatures • Perform physically demanding task for long shifts • Maintain concentration while performing repetitive tasks • Work long shifts in outdoor environments • Climb stairs/ladders and work around rigs safely
