Summary
Full-stack engineer in Bristol building and scaling Generative AI solutions — taking RAG and intelligent-agent proofs-of-concept into production-ready apps. The stack spans Python/FastAPI or TypeScript/Express backends, React/Next.js frontends, LangChain-style GenAI tooling, AWS/Azure with Docker/Kubernetes and Terraform, plus vector and relational databases; UK SC clearance (active or obtainable)
Overview
In this role you will design, build and scale Generative AI-powered solutions within a collaborative, innovative environment. You’ll take concepts from proof-of-concept to production, work across AI-driven and traditional software projects, and help shape platform infrastructure for secure, scalable delivery. The position offers exposure to emerging technologies and opportunities to mentor teammates while contributing to business development and internal initiatives. You will be at the forefront of next-gen AI applications with a strong impact on product delivery and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on Generative AI proof-of-concepts (RAG and intelligent agents)
- Scale successful concepts into production-ready solutions
- Develop full-stack apps for AI-driven and traditional projects
- Support secure, scalable end-to-end infrastructure
- Explore emerging technologies and apply innovations
- Share knowledge through coaching and technical guidance
Key requirements
- Active SC clearance or eligible to obtain and maintain
- Backend: microservices with Python/FastAPI or TypeScript/Express
- Frontend: React with TypeScript; Next.js/Vite familiarity
- Generative AI tech: LangChain/LangGraph/CrewAI/Vercel AI; experience with LLMs (OpenAI/Anthropic/Mistral/Llama)
- Cloud: AWS or Azure; containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); IaC (Terraform)
- CI/CD tools (GitHub/GitLab/Jenkins); monitoring/observability for AI apps
- Databases: vector stores (ChromaDB/Pinecone/PGVector/Qdrant), NoSQL, PostgreSQL
- Version control: Git; Agile delivery practices
