GenAI Solution Architect

Melbourne location
6-month contract



We’re looking for a highly experienced GenAI Solution Architect to join a major enterprise environment, helping design and deliver AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI and Generative AI technologies.

This is a hands-on consulting role where you’ll act as both Solution Architect and technical coach, building AI solutions while uplifting the capability of analysts and engineers.



What you'll be doing

• Design and build Microsoft Fabric Data Agents and AI-enabled solutions.
• Define architecture across Lakehouse, Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, Power BI and OneLake.
• Translate business challenges into practical AI use cases and roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and analysts through workshops, pairing and code reviews.
• Establish standards around AI governance, security, data quality and Responsible AI.
• Provide technical advice to leadership on AI priorities, risks and adoption.

What we're looking for

• 20+ years' experience across data, analytics or software, including significant senior consulting/advisory experience.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience, including Data Factory, Synapse, OneLake, Power BI, Copilot and Data Agents.
• Strong Azure, Python, SQL and Spark/PySpark skills.
• Practical experience with LLMs, Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry, RAG and agent frameworks.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and AI solutions.
• Strong communication skills across both technical teams and senior executives.

Highly desirable

• Microsoft certifications such as DP-600, DP-700 or AI-102.
• Microsoft Purview, MLOps and CI/CD experience.
• Previous experience as a technical lead, coach or trainer.
