General Counsel

You will establish and lead the legal and regulatory function for digital asset products. You will develop regulatory positions, negotiate commercial agreements, manage corporate governance and compliance programs, and advise directly in commercial negotiations. You will also handle employment, intellectual property, privacy, and general corporate matters.

Responsibilities

  • Own legal and regulatory strategy across stablecoin earn, stablecoin orchestration, tokenized commodities, and lending.
  • Draft, negotiate, and close commercial agreements.
  • Lead regulatory analysis and develop positions on securities, commodities, money transmission, and virtual asset service providers.
  • Manage corporate structure, entity formation and maintenance, board governance, intercompany arrangements, cap table matters, and financing documentation.
  • Own AML and sanctions programs, KYB and counterparty onboarding, due diligence responses, and institutional-counterparty policies.
  • Represent the legal perspective directly in commercial negotiations with counterparties.
  • Handle employment, intellectual property, privacy, and general corporate matters.

Requirements

  • Hold a JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing in at least one United States jurisdiction.
  • Have 8 to 12 years of legal practice, ideally including top-tier law firm and in-house digital asset or fintech experience.
  • Demonstrate digital asset regulatory expertise in token classification, distribution structures, and licensing.
  • Have transactional experience in secured lending or structured finance.
  • Have experience with offshore structures and multijurisdictional coverage.
  • Understand digital asset product functions and smart contract architecture conceptually.
  • Be comfortable operating without a legal team and building one as the company scales.
