As a General Field Manager, you'll lead and coach a team of Zone Managers who are on the front line of Ford's Dealer network — driving performance, building relationships and delivering the customer experience our brand is known for. You'll be part of an energetic field team supporting our passenger vehicle objectives, from hitting sales targets to raising the bar on Dealer standards. This is a leadership role with genuine influence: you'll guide your team's direction, coordinate with cross-functional partners across Sales Planning, Product and Yield Management, and act as the vital link between Ford and our Dealer partners.

Build strong relationships with an engaged Dealer network

  • Strengthen Dealer relations with reviews, training, motivation and problem solving
  • Guide and direct the Zone Managers to deliver effective Dealer reviews with follow up actions that drive performance improvement
  • Ensure relevant and timely communications that engage and inform the network through our scorecard and meetings cadence e.g. our quarterly kick off meetings and weekly Dealer Webex

Deliver on our Sales Objectives

  • Work collaboratively with Sales Planning and Field Support to ensure Dealer quarterly objectives are deployed accurately and promptly
  • Coordinate the weekly forecast / month and quarter end process maintaining awareness of Dealer performance challenges and opportunities
  • Take the lead on stock management by tracking and supporting the team with data and liaising internally to highlight issues
  • Consistently remain engaged with ongoing and new KPIs and support with insights from data analysis

Develop and Support Your Team

  • Coach and develop the District team to proactively deliver a high level of Dealer support with good levels of knowledge about process, products and programmes
  • Maintain team tracker to report on achievement of objectives
  • Coordinate Zone Manager Champions and support interaction with other Ford of Britain teams
  • Own the Zone Manager induction plan to onboard new team members

Work cross functionally. Represent the voice of the field team and Dealer network in future plans, partnering closely with:

  • Yield Management team: Ensure alignment on Dealer stock and identification of any potential issues to management team
  • Product team: Coordinate Dealer planning to ensure successful launch of PV products
  • Field Support Team: Ensure all ad hoc and necessary Dealer communications are actioned promptly
  • A proven track record of working effectively with Dealers
  • Supervisory experience with the ability to coach and coordinate a team working in a hybrid environment (home/office/in the field)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present confidently
  • Ability to work well in a team, taking management direction and translating it into actions for the Zone Manager team to deliver
  • Evidence of managing multiple stakeholders while working within tight deadlines and targets
  • Highly numerate and process-orientated
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and using sales performance systems
  • Full, valid driving license (regular dealer travel required)

This position is based in Dunton, Essex and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to attend the Dunton Campus for typically 4 days a week and remain flexible on the days they are required to attend the office according to business requirements.
