About the role
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer II to join the Lenovo project team. The role undertakes backend development, microservice implementation and iterative maintenance of enterprise business systems. The developer will work within a multi lingual cross functional team to deliver high quality Java backend services for Lenovo business scenarios.
Key responsibilities
Participate in requirement analysis and technical solution design for enterprise backend systems, implement business logic based on Java technology stack.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs with Spring MVC / Spring Boot, implement data persistence using Spring Data JPA or Hibernate combined with PostgreSQL database.
Engage in Spring Cloud microservice development, complete module coding, unit testing, code review and performance optimization.
Utilize standard development management tools including Gradle, Git and Jira to manage build process, version control, task tracking and project workflow.
Troubleshoot online defects, conduct bug fixing and assist system release, ensure system stability and reliability.
Collaborate with product, test and cross regional team members; produce technical documents and communicate technical progress in multi lingual working environment.
Continuously refactor legacy code, promote engineering best practices and improve overall code maintainability.
About you
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or other IT related disciplines.
Over 5 years of professional Java software development experience, proficient in Java object oriented programming.
Hands on experience in API development with Spring MVC / Spring Boot.
Familiar with Spring Data JPA / Hibernate and PostgreSQL database development.
Proficient in development & management tools: Gradle, Git, Jira.
Solid practical experience in Spring Cloud microservice development.
Able to speak, read and write English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia for cross team communication.
Clear communication & expression capability, positive mindset, good teamwork and collaboration awareness, strong work initiative.
Prior working experience in Lenovo related system development is highly preferred.
