Job Description
The General Maintenance Engineer is primarily responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the property, including guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and back of house facilities.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs of building systems and equipment. Depending on experience, duties may range from preventative maintenance and repairs to more advanced work involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, laundry, and other facility equipment. Engineers may perform repairs and maintenance up to and including work requiring intermediate technical knowledge and demonstrated experience in these areas.

This position engages in casual conversation with guests and has a direct impact on the guest experience.

Must have availability for both AM, PM, and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Salary
Starting hourly rate is $26.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience

Qualifications
• At least 1 – 5 years of maintenance experience required
• Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills (electricity, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, etc.)
• Refined verbal communication skills
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate amount of weight
