General Manager [Aviation / Aerospace]

Job Summary:
Lead business growth, operations, and regulatory compliance within the APAC aerospace sector while driving commercial success and organizational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth by developing and executing commercial strategies across the APAC region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, MROs, OEMs, and other key industry stakeholders.
- Develop a robust sales pipeline and identify new business opportunities to achieve revenue targets.
- Lead and manage daily business operations, ensuring effective allocation of resources and resolution of operational challenges.
- Oversee administrative functions and manage external stakeholder relationships, including vendors and regulatory authorities.
- Serve as the Accountable Manager under the approved Production Organization Approval (POA) framework and act as certifying staff in accordance with applicable quality management standards.
- Ensure adequate financial, human, and infrastructure resources are available to support regulatory compliance and operational requirements.
- Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Contribute to group-level strategic initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Provide regular, data-driven reports on commercial performance, regulatory compliance, and workforce matters to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial aerospace or advanced manufacturing, including significant exposure to commercial or sales leadership functions.
- Proven track record of business growth with demonstrated success in securing and developing customer accounts.
- Working knowledge of EASA Part 21, Part 145, or equivalent aviation production and quality regulatory frameworks such as FAA or CAAS requirements.
- Strong understanding of the APAC aviation market, including industry dynamics, procurement processes, and regulatory environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for liaising with English-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in additional Asian languages is an advantage for liaising with respective language-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in bringing technology-based products or solutions from concept to commercial success.
- Strong leadership capabilities, including people development, team building, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration.
- Experience in additive manufacturing technology is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required and engage in continuous professional development.
