General Manager Marketing
Objective of Job
The Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for:
-
Planning & execution of marketing activities within the available resources to generate a targeted number of enquiries at
dealerships to achieve the sales objectives.
- Planning & execution of all lead generation activities as per dealership sales targets and MBIL directives.
- Alignment and execution of national marketing campaigns at dealership level.
He is also responsible for liaison with the Marketing team of MB India for implementing various marketing programs at
dealership & give feedback on a regular basis.
Qualification
o Basics: MBA / PGDBM
o Experience (type of): Minimum 5 – 6 years’ experience in marketing / advertising / events (preferably with auto /
consumer durable / FMCG sector).
Specialized Knowledge: Clear thinking capabilities, Ability to align activities towards goals and Sales targets,
Communication skills, Customer oriented attitude, Ability to coordinate with external agencies, team player, ability to
handle customer queries/complaints, analytical skills, Event management skills, knowledge of digital marketing activities.Roles & Responsibilities

Understand the sales objectives of the dealership and communicate
the marketing needs accordingly.
Plan marketing activities based on the needs of market +
organization
Keep the dealership abreast of competitor marketing activities
Plan the marketing calendar including budgeting as per MBIL
guidelines and directives.
Timely feedback on the execution of marketing activities
Be a one point of contact between the dealership and MBIL
regarding all aspects of marketing
MBIL – Marketing Team
Regular communication with MBIL marketing team for all aspects of
marketing and CRM activities at dealership level.
Sharing of quarterly and monthly marketing plans as per the formats
and timelines communicated by MBIL.
Discuss and obtain approvals on marketing plans prior to execution.
Approvals on the ideas/ creatives. Adherence to MBIL CI guidelines.
Regular feedbacks on the dealership and competitor activities.
Quarterly marketing reports/claims including planned – actual –
expenditure – post activity evaluations.
Sharing of information and ideas to promote Mercedes Benz
products.
Other agencies
Co ordination with corporate communication team MBIL for any
media related activities, press conferences, product launches etc.
Communication with various publications, event agencies and other
organizations for marketing opportunities.
o Remuneration
Should be treated as Senior Member of the team and paid accordingly. Travel and other allowances to include also
Requirements
Profile Expectations :
• Has to have extensive knowledge of ‘retail marketing’.
• To have adequate experience and knowledge in the field of marketing/events/advertising for minimum 4 years. Out of
4 years experience, minimum 2 years is mandatory with automobile / consumer durable / FMCG).
• Should have a fair understanding of digital marketing activities.
• Has to have a passion to promote the brand and flare for marketing.
• Has to have a creative bent of mind, open to new ideas, high level of motivation and commitment towards the brand
• To be responsible for all aspects of dealership marketing activities.
