General Manager

Location: Sterling, VA

Hours: Full-Time, estimated 32-40 hours per week

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Join Self Storage Plus as a General Manager and experience personal fulfillment and measurable success. Oversee the day-to-day management, leasing, and maintenance of our storage facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all elements of property operations including leasing, marketing, customer relations, rent collection, maintenance, and financial reporting
• Maintaining the property through regular maintenance checks, conducting daily property walks to ensure that safety and security requirements are met, making minor repairs as needed
• Upholding cleanliness standards throughout the property, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, emptying trash, cleaning out storage units, and other cleaning responsibilities as needed
• Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
• Oversee the monthly auction process
• Providing task management oversight of Assistant Store Managers by providing guidance, working to create a safe and productive work environment, and assisting in the hiring process as needed
• Implement policies and procedures to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure a positive tenant experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend and lift to move items at least 25 or more pounds
• Ability to operate tools and equipment, such as bolt cutters, grinders and drills
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time while performing indoor and outdoor job responsibilities
