What you will do:


Work in a cross-functional team with product managers, analysts and developers on a high-load telecom platform
Test management (plan, test scenarios design, execution, follow-up, control)
API and integration testing across microservices
Performance and load testing
Test automation and support of existing test builds
Regression testing
Testing reporting and documentation

Qualifications and experience needed:


4+ years of relevant working experience as a QA Engineer with a backend focus
Strong backend testing experience: verifying end-to-end data flow between services, databases and message brokers, not only endpoint responses
Great knowledge of automation tools and Java/TypeScript, with integration into CI pipelines
Performance testing experience: load profiles, test execution, interpreting latency, throughput and error rate
Excellent requirements analysis skills — identifying gaps and ambiguities before development starts
Experience of composing test strategies and test plans
Test design techniques knowledge
Confident knowledge of testing methodologies
SQL knowledge: complex queries with joins and aggregations, data integrity checks
Linux/UNIX command line: log analysis, basic bash
Practical skills with Git: branching, merging, code review
Experience with MOCK-SERVER or a similar tool for isolating dependencies
Knowledge of TCP, HTTP
Understanding of client-server and microservices architectures: inter-service communication, failure points, idempotency
Good knowledge of Postman, IntelliJ IDEA, Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Zephyr), GitLab, Jenkins, Kibana, Grafana
Higher technical education or equivalent relevant experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment in close collaboration with the development team
Excellent analytical skills, critical mindset
Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
English is spoken and written on the intermediate level or higher

Nice to have:

Telecom domain experience: billing, charging, provisioning
Kafka or RabbitMQ
Docker, Kubernetes
High-load systems experience
