This position performs both shop and field work, including preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, startup and commissioning, equipment inspections, and technical support at customer locations, ensuring rental assets are maintained to the highest standards and ready for deployment. - Inspect rental units before and after deployment to verify equipment condition and readiness
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, fuel system, ignition, cooling, and control system issues
- Perform major component replacement including alternators, controllers, ignition systems, regulators, throttle bodies, batteries, and cooling system components
- Perform electrical connections associated with equipment setup, startup, commissioning, and decommissioning
- Conduct operational testing, load bank testing, and performance verification before equipment is released for rental
- Respond to field service calls to troubleshoot and repair rental equipment at customer locations
- Assist with installation, startup, recovery, and demobilization of rental equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance history, inspection records, repair documentation, and parts usage for fleet assets
- Coordinate with Operations and Dispatch to prioritize equipment readiness and field response
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, diagnostic equipment, and inventory
- Follow all company safety policies, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Recommend and help implement improvements to preventive maintenance practices and fleet standardization
Schedule & Travel:
- Primary coverage area includes Eagle Ford. Occasional travel for training or SOS support may be required
- Support normal business hours during the week
- Support and available after hours for emergencies and unplanned activity including evenings and weekends to support customer needs and impacts from weather events
The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.
