About Matador.ai
Are you ready to build the future of automotive communication?
Matador AI is the conversational AI platform behind 1,500+ automotive and powersports dealerships across North America. Our AI engages customers across chat, SMS, voice, and email — answering inventory questions, capturing leads, and booking appointments 24/7. We’re looking for a Project Manager to own execution of our OEM integration programs — certified partnerships with manufacturers including Honda, Acura, Nissan, Stellantis, and BMW.
What You’ll Be Working On
You’ll own execution of the integration layer that connects Matador to OEM programs, dealership CRMs, and inventory systems. Specifically, you’ll:
- Define and defend the KPIs that matter — lead routing accuracy, integration uptime, data sync reliability, and OEM compliance adherence — and drive the dashboards that prove improvements actually hold in production.
- Lead OEM certified-program integrations: lead routing standards (ADF/XML, STAR, direct post), OEM lead management systems, certified reporting feeds (SFTP deliveries, analytics providers like Shift Digital), and program compliance requirements such as OEM-mandated pricing display rules.
- Manage the CRM and inventory integration surface — VinSolutions, DealerSocket, eLead, Tekion, DriveCentric, vAuto, HomeNet — turning messy real-world feed constraints into clean, buildable product requirements.
- Write crisp, implementation-ready specs and drive execution in Linear across our AI, Core, Data, and Integration engineering teams.
- Partner with Sales, CS, and OEM program managers on dealer enrollment, pilot launches, onboarding, and delivering LOE/ETAs when manufacturers mandate global changes on real deadlines.
- Stay close to the integrations: monitor feed health, investigate data discrepancies and delivery failures, and translate what you find into roadmap priorities.
What We’re Looking For
This is a high-ownership, execution-focused role for a Project Manager who thrives on shipping in a technical, integration-heavy domain where external partners set real deadlines.
Must-Have
- Project management experience: 3+ years managing technical or integration-heavy projects in B2B SaaS, ideally in AI/ML-powered environments.
- Technical fluency: comfortable reading API docs, XML/JSON payloads, data feeds, and webhook flows — you can go deep with engineers without writing the code yourself. ADF/CRM lead-flow experience is a strong plus.
- Analytical rigor: you define metrics, dig into data yourself (SQL a plus), and make decisions from evidence, not vibes.
- A bias for execution: proven ability to drive multi-stakeholder initiatives to completion, holding partners accountable where certification requirements and OEM timelines are non-negotiable.
- Excellent written communication: your specs, tickets, and partner updates are clear enough to execute from without a meeting.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in automotive retail technology: CRMs, DMS platforms, OEM certification programs, or dealer website providers.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies (Linear, Agile/Scrum) in a technical environment.
- Familiarity with OEM analytics and reporting ecosystems (Shift Digital, JD Power, or similar).
