1. Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled GIS Application Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain GIS-based applications. The candidate should have experience in geospatial data processing, web-based GIS development, spatial databases, and integration of mapping services and APIs.

2. Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain GIS-based web and desktop applications.
• Develop interactive maps and geospatial applications using ArcGIS, QGIS, Leaflet, or OpenLayers.
• Integrate GIS applications with spatial databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS and SQL Server.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and web services for GIS data integration.
• Perform geospatial data processing, spatial analysis, and map visualization.
• Work with geospatial data formats such as Shapefile, GeoJSON, KML, and GeoTIFF.
• Develop application interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
• Optimize GIS application performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ensure data accuracy, application security, and system reliability.
• Collaborate with project managers, database administrators, and other technical teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide application support and maintenance.

3. Required Technical Skills

• GIS application development and Web GIS technologies.
• ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, or QGIS.
• ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Leaflet, or OpenLayers.
• Programming skills in JavaScript, Python, or another relevant language.
• Spatial databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, or Oracle Spatial.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, REST APIs, and web services.
• Geospatial data management, spatial analysis, and coordinate reference systems.
• Familiarity with GeoServer or MapServer is an advantage.

4. Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geoinformatics, Geography, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in GIS application development and geospatial technologies.
• Experience developing web-based mapping applications and integrating GIS services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams.
