About the Role :

We are looking for a hands-on Staff Engineer with deep backend engineering expertise and a strong background in SRE, infrastructure, and platform engineering.

The role focuses on identifying performance bottlenecks, optimizing large-scale distributed systems, and improving overall platform efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities :

- Analyze complex backend systems to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize throughput, latency, and resource utilization.

- Drive performance engineering initiatives across high-scale distributed systems and backend services.

- Build and implement profiling, monitoring, and observability tools to enable data-driven performance improvements.

- Analyze workloads, optimize infrastructure and application performance, and improve system efficiency.

- Define and drive measurable performance SLAs/SLOs for critical workflows and services.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to solve complex performance and scalability challenges.

Requirements :

- Strong hands-on backend development experience with deep expertise in distributed systems.

- Solid background in SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering.

- Proven experience in performance profiling, debugging, capacity planning, and system optimization.

- Experience building or optimizing high-throughput, low-latency systems at scale.

- Ability to work across application code, infrastructure, and databases to drive end-to-end performance improvements.

- Ideal Profile : A backend-heavy staff/principal engineer with strong platform engineering and SRE experience who has solved complex performance problems at scale; not someone focused solely on infrastructure operations.
