GPD Officer

Coordinates new product developments and revisions with sales teams, manages global programs, and ensures production consistency across manufacturing units for a multinational manufacturer.

  • About the role

    The GPD Officer plays a vital role in driving business growth by coordinating new item developments and revisions independently with the Sales team. This position is responsible for managing global programs across cross-functional teams, providing professional advice to retail brand customers, analyzing operational margins, and ensuring global production consistency across manufacturing units.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently with Sales on new item development and item revision.

  • Manage global programs with cross functional teams to ensure a timely and successful rollout.

  • Calculate and collect global prices as required.

  • Perform global margin analysis when needed by management.

  • Work with the Sampling team to deliver qualified samples on a timely basis.

  • Deploy approved items to global manufacturing units with required standards to ensure global consistency.

  • Sufficient understanding about the new technology / solution & its application.

  • Describe pain points from daily operation and provide suggestions to avoid the problem.

  • Professional advisor to customers. Understand responsible Retail Brand performance and drive improvement to support business growth.

  • Support other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

  • English level is CET4 or above, 2 years above any professional experience.

  • Experience in merchandising and/or product development coordination such as handle sampling, vendor liaison and quotation will be an advantage.

  • Experience in printing & design and apparel/footwear merchandising will be an advantage.

  • Good logical thinking and experience in handling data will be an advantage.

  • Good analytical skills and ability to determine the best production methods in line with desired price points.

  • Good communication skills, adaptability and self motivation.

  • Good in written and spoken English and Mandarin. Cantonese is preferable.

  • Detail-oriented, can work under pressure and handle multiple tasks at the same time.

  • Strong execution, good sense of urgency and escalation.
