We are looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team in Barcelona. This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Physics, or a related field who is looking to start their career in electronic systems design and development.

You will join a multidisciplinary and international development team, collaborating with colleagues in Barcelona and other locations around the world. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, contribute to real product development, and progressively take ownership of technically challenging projects.

What you’ll do

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will:

  • Participate in the testing and validation of electronic designs, covering areas such as functionality, reliability, electromagnetic compatibility, thermal performance, safety, and power measurements.
  • Contribute to the development of reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality hardware solutions for HP products.
  • Work closely with experienced electrical engineers and multidisciplinary teams throughout the different stages of product development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external development partners, gaining exposure to an international engineering environment.
  • Build your technical expertise and progressively take on greater responsibility within the team.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.

  • Academic or practical exposure to at least two of the following areas is an advantage:
    • Power and mechatronics electronics, including DC/BLDC motor drivers, DC-DC converters, and adjustable voltage regulators.
    • High-speed digital design, computer buses, memory subsystems, and high-speed communication channels.
    • Sensors, precision analog circuitry, and analog signal processing.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills and curiosity to understand how complex systems work.
  • Basic programming knowledge in C and/or scripting languages.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components, integrated circuitry, thermal management, and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to progressively work with greater autonomy.
