Graduate Quantity Surveyor – 2027 – National Hospitals Programme
What do you want from your work? From your life?
If you’re looking for more than just a job, if you want to make a real difference with every decision you make, you’re in the right place.
Skanska is one of the largest construction and development companies in the world. Together, we shape how we live, work and connect – we build from the ground up and maintain your local communities, infrastructure and transportation.
Graduate Project Engineer – 2027 Development Programme – National Hospitals Programme
Over two years, you will gain hands-on experience managing cost, contracts and commercial risk across the installation and commissioning of building services in two major new hospitals: James Paget University Hospital in Great Yarmouth and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.
The New Hospital Programme represents one of the largest infrastructure investments currently planned in the UK, with a long-term pipeline extending through to 2039 and government investment planned in successive spending periods. The programme is designed around a standardised Hospital 2.0 model, creating the opportunity to transform how healthcare infrastructure is delivered while providing unprecedented visibility and certainty for suppliers.
Working at Skanska within the New Hospital Programme team offers the chance to start your career on projects that will make a lasting difference to communities across the East of England. These complex, digitally enabled and sustainable healthcare projects will give early-career talent the opportunity to learn alongside experienced teams, work across disciplines and contribute to the design and delivery of the next generation of healthcare infrastructure.
For graduates, this scale creates an exceptional opportunity to learn, develop and make a real impact from the outset. You will work alongside experienced teams and specialist supply chain partners, gaining exposure to new approaches such as standardisation, digital delivery and modern methods of construction. As the programme grows, you will have the chance to build broad experience across disciplines, develop skills that will shape the future of healthcare construction and contribute to hospitals that will serve communities for generations to come.
