About the Role
This role independently manages assigned country and organisational design portfolios, including stakeholder communication and the delivery of farmer-facing materials, reports, newsletters and other design collateral. The role oversees multiple projects from conceptualisation through completion with minimal managerial supervision, reviews project needs and recommends effective design approaches, and ensures high-quality execution, adherence to brand standards, and delivery within agreed timelines. The role also identifies and contributes to improvements in design processes, templates and ways of working.
Responsibilities
Essential function - Direct Design Production
- Independently manage and deliver high-quality, creative and brand-aligned design work across assigned country and organisational portfolios.
- Own design projects from initial brief and concept development through stakeholder review, production and final delivery.
- Review project briefs and recommend effective design approaches that respond to audience, communication and project needs.
- Ensure consistent quality, technical accuracy and appropriate adaptation across different materials, audiences and country contexts.
Essential function - Stakeholder Communication and Project Management
- Portfolio Management: Independently manage design portfolios for 2–3 countries.
- Serve as the primary Design team contact for assigned portfolios, managing stakeholder communication and aligning on briefs, deliverables, timelines and expectations.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects, maintain brand consistency, and align deliverables with stakeholder requirements across assigned portfolios.
- Independently prioritize and manage multiple projects, maintaining clear work plans and ensuring delivery within agreed timelines.
- Explain design decisions clearly, navigate feedback constructively and guide stakeholders towards effective design solutions.
- Proactively identify project risks, unclear requirements, competing priorities or potential delays, and communicate these early to relevant stakeholders and the manager.
- Identify and contribute to practical improvements to recurring design processes, templates, workflows, and stakeholders' ways of working.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
Technical skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least five years of professional graphic design experience, including independently managing projects from brief through final delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong print and digital design skills with print production knowledge, including preparing accurate, production-ready files.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, brand application and designing for different audiences and communication needs.
- Foundational experience in packaging design, from concept development to production-ready artwork.
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with Canva is an advantage.
Soft skills:
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills, including managing multiple priorities, setting clear expectations, proactively communicating timelines, and constructively navigating feedback.
