As our Groups & Events Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the complete sales journey of group, meetings and events business. From qualifying incoming leads and creating tailored proposals, through to event planning, delivery and aftersales, you will be the main point of contact for our clients.
You will become part of a close-knit and collaborative commercial team. We work hard together, support one another and also make time to enjoy ourselves. YOUR ROLE
• Manage the full sales cycle for groups, meetings, conferences, events and business groups.
• Qualify incoming leads by understanding the client’s requirements, budget, objectives and decision-making process.
• Respond to enquiries promptly and professionally through telephone, email, online platforms and face-to-face conversations.
• Conduct hotel show rounds and site inspections, presenting our rooms, meeting spaces, facilities and services with confidence.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across bedrooms, meeting rooms, food and beverage and additional hotel services.
• Negotiate with clients within the agreed commercial and operational strategy of the hotel.
• Coordinate all event details with the client from confirmation through to the event itself.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Revenue, Finance and other relevant departments to ensure that client expectations can be delivered and exceeded.
• Represent the hotel at organized networking events, client appointments and other business development opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with the Leisure Sales Executive and Corporate Sales Coordinator to share leads, strengthen client relationships and maximise total hotel revenue.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• At least two years’ experience in a similar groups, meetings, events or hotel sales position.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• A proactive, commercially minded and target-oriented approach.
• Genuine enjoyment of organizing events, speaking with clients and building relationships.
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A confident and professional approach to client meetings, telephone conversations and hotel show rounds.
• A strong understanding of hospitality and the importance of delivering an excellent client experience.
• Experience with Opera, Delphi or another hotel sales system is an advantage.
• Eligibility to work in the Netherlands.

This role is graded under the Dutch Horeca CLA using the ‘referentiefuncties Horeca’ and is classified in salary group VI, including the applicable salary scale for full-time employment. The corresponding gross monthly salary scale ranges from €2,645.47 to €3,289.31, based on full-time employment. The starting level within the scale depends on experience.
In addition, we offer 25 vacation days based on full-time employment, 8% holiday allowance, travel allowance, a daily meal and five extra paid paternity leave days after one year of service.
