Guest House Operations Lead
Cape Joy is looking for a Guest House Operations Lead, a go-getter who will run daily operations, cook breakfast, maintain our garden & pool, host events, and build partnerships with neighbouring guest houses and tour operators.
No experience? No problem. We will train you. But you must love people, taking ownership and working on weekends,.
Requirements
- Hospitality/tourism degree (preferred but not essential)
- 1–2 years events/hospitality experience
- Willing to work weekends (non-negotiable)
- A responsible, trustworthy, “no task too small” attitude
- Outgoing personality – comfortable talking to neighbours and agents
- Weekend work is required
- Bonus: basic cooking, gardening, or handyman skills (we will train the rest)
What you will do:
- Delight guests – check-ins, breakfast cooking, special requests
- Keep things running – light plumbing, lighting, pool & fish pond care
- Host events – parties, small weddings, corporate stays
- Build relationships – visit neighbouring guest houses, set up client referrals
- Grow our business – invite travel agents & tour companies for site visits, secure bookings
