Location: Hereford
Salary: Up to £30,000
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Pattern: 5 days per week onsite

About the Role Our client is an established technology business providing IT support, hardware services and technical solutions to a varied customer base.
They are looking for a Hardware Engineer to join their team in Hereford. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with technology, diagnosing hardware issues and getting devices working efficiently for customers.

You'll work across a varied range of equipment and technical issues, making this a great opportunity to develop your practical IT skills within an established and supportive environment.

What You'll Do:
  • Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware
  • Build, configure and deploy computers and IT equipment
  • Install and configure operating systems and software
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues
  • Carry out upgrades, replacements and maintenance
  • Prepare equipment for customers and internal users
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and technical work
  • Provide technical support and advice where required
  • Work closely with the wider technical team to resolve more complex issues
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience working with computer hardware or IT support
  • Good knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Confident diagnosing and resolving hardware issues
  • Experience building or configuring PCs, laptops or similar equipment
  • Basic understanding of networking and connectivity
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and customer service abilities
  • A genuine interest in technology and willingness to learn
