Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a Head Chef, you’re responsible for overseeing à la carte kitchen operations for Mountain Hub Social Dining, Night Flight Bar, and Room Service while spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Lead and inspire the à la carte kitchen team: Guide, train, and motivate team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, organization, and culinary excellence
- Deliver exceptional quality: Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and execution to create an authentic and memorable Mountain Hub guest experience
- Shape the Mountain Hub culinary experience: Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Mountain Hub menu, showcasing regional ingredients and modern Alpine-inspired cuisine
- Manage staffing and operations: Organize schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet business demands while maintaining operational efficiency
- Enhance guest satisfaction: Address guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly, turning insights into opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support brand standards: Train and evaluate team members to ensure compliance with Hilton and Mountain Hub service and culinary standards
- Collaborate across departments: Work closely with other hotel departments to create a seamless and exceptional guest journey
- Oversee product quality: Partner with suppliers and the purchasing team to source high-quality products and maintain strong quality standards
- Maintain compliance and safety: Ensure full adherence to food safety, hygiene, health, and workplace safety regulations
- Promote sustainability: Support environmentally responsible practices by minimizing waste and encouraging sustainable operations throughout the kitchen
- Demonstrate flexibility in operations: Maintain flexibility to work early and late shifts, weekends, and public holidays, with compensatory time off scheduled accordingly.
- Reporting to Executive Chef: As Head Chef, you oversee the à la carte kitchen operations for Mountain Hub Social Dining, Night Flight Bar, and Room Service and report directly to the Executive Chef.
