Head of Automation

We are looking for a Head of Automation to take ownership of our quality strategy, lead testing across the company, and build a strong automation framework to support our growth. In this role, you will define testing priorities from a business perspective, lead a team of 5–10 automation experts, guide workflow standards, and define clear success metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Perspective: Define the "what" from a business perspective to ensure testing directly supports business needs and goals.
• Team Leadership & Tech Lead: Lead 5–10 automation experts, set workflow standards, and guide the team in adopting new technologies.
• Metrics & KPIs: Measure automation coverage and define clear success metrics and KPIs for the automation efforts.
• Drive Cultural Shift: Champion a "quality-first" mentality across product and engineering teams, advocating for testability from the design phase.
• Test Planning: Translate complex fintech features and business values into detailed and scalable automation test plans.
• Agile Integration: Embed QA into our Agile development lifecycle (SDLC) and optimize CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable releases.
• Domain-Driven Testing: Use your understanding of the FX market to anticipate edge cases and design test scenarios based on real trading behaviors.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Development, Support, and Business teams.
• Innovation: Introduce new tools and AI-driven approaches to improve QA efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in automation testing.
• Proven leadership experience in a QA/Automation role (including leading 5–10 engineers).
• Strong technical experience building automation frameworks from scratch, with a focus on backend automation.
• Hands-on experience with on-premise Linux systems.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and continuous delivery.
• Ability to set workflow standards and guide teams in adopting new technologies.
• Experience defining KPIs and measuring automation coverage.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical constraints and business requirements.
