About You & the Role

You are a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who is passionate about turning data into business value. As a Data Science Lead, you will drive the development of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions that support business growth and innovation. You will lead a team of data professionals, partner with stakeholders across the organization, and help shape the future of data-driven decision-making.

What You Will Be Doing

• Define and execute the organization's data science strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Partner with business units to identify opportunities where data science can improve performance, efficiency, and customer experience.
• Develop predictive models, machine learning solutions, and advanced analytics initiatives to solve complex business challenges.
• Oversee end-to-end data science projects from ideation and proof of value through deployment and optimization.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure data quality, governance, security, and scalability.
• Present insights, recommendations, and business impact to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Explore emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovative applications of AI and data science.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering). Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role, and relevant banking experience.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Experience with data manipulation and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
• Project management experience including planning, initiation, resource allocation, risk & issue management, and stakeholder management are required.
