Lead the Finance function for one of Australia's most trusted not-for-profit organisations.Shape the financial decisions and controls that support pilots, engineers, doctors, nurses and remote crews across the largest health jurisdiction in Australia.Drive financial systems improvement, automation, commercial insight and strong organisational controls.Permanent, full-time role based at Jandakot, with flexible hybrid working, NFP salary packaging and free onsite parking.About the TeamThe Finance team provides the financial governance, reporting and commercial insight that supports RFDS WA to deliver essential aeromedical and healthcare services across Western Australia. You'll lead an experienced team and partner closely with leaders across Aviation, Clinical, Operations and Corporate Services.About the RoleReporting to the Director of Finance, Safety and Risk:Lead all finance and accounting operations, reporting to the Director of Finance, Safety and Risk, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, taxation, audit, insurance and statutory compliance, including month-end and year-end reporting for the Board and Audit and Risk Committee.Provide high-level commercial analysis and strategic financial advice on contracts, tenders and business cases that shape organisational decision-making.Strengthen the Finance team's capability while improving systems, internal controls, automation and governance.About YouBachelor's degree in Business or Commerce majoring in Accounting, with a current CPA or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand qualification (or a recognised international equivalent).Senior experience leading finance or accounting operations within a complex organisation.Strong capability across statutory reporting, audit, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, cash flow and financial analysis.Demonstrated success improving financial systems, internal controls, automation, business processes and team capability.Strong commercial judgement, communication and influencing skills, with experience in TechnologyOne, a not-for-profit, government or geographically dispersed organisation highly regarded.Appointment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment screening, including verification of qualifications and working rights, a National Police Check and role-specific financial probity screening, including fraud and bankruptcy checks.About UsThe Royal Flying Doctor Service supports more than 20,000 patients each year across the largest health jurisdiction in Australia.
