Head of FP&A - Permanent - London (Hybrid) - Up to £120,000

A privately owned technology business with manufacturing operations is hiring its first dedicated FP&A Lead. The business has grown past £30m turnover without outside funding. It now needs to professionalise its finance function as it prepares for the next stage of growth.

This is a chance to build FP&A from a blank sheet, working directly with the senior finance leader and the C-suite.

What you'll do

  • Build the FP&A function from scratch, including the planning model, reporting and the core financial dataset the business runs on
  • Shape the finance systems roadmap as the business moves beyond their existing systems, including planning tools, automation and AI
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis across short-term and long-range horizons
  • Partner with department heads and the C-suite to turn the numbers into commercial decisions
  • Lead finance projects as the business scales, acting as a right hand to the finance lead
  • Grow into team leadership as the function develops

What you'll need

  • Hands-on FP&A experience in a startup or scale-up
  • Exposure to manufacturing or hardware businesses
  • Strong commercial instincts and the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
  • Systems curiosity: you look for better ways to use tools, data and automation
  • Qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA

What's on offer

  • Up to £120,000 depending on experience
  • A greenfield FP&A build with real influence over systems and process
  • A clear route to leading a team as the function grows
  • Hybrid working, 2/3 days a week in the London office
