About the role
We are looking for an experienced IT professional to lead and manage our hospital's information technology operations, infrastructure, systems, and digital development. This position leads the hospital's IT functions, including applications and information systems, IT infrastructure and networks, databases and data analytics, information security, system integration, and day-to-day IT operations to ensure that technology supports hospital services in a secure, reliable, integrated, and sustainable manner. The Head of IT also serves as a key liaison between management, clinical users, operational departments, the internal IT team, and technology vendors in the development and implementation of IT solutions.
Key responsibilities
Lead and oversee the hospital's overall IT operations, infrastructure, applications, and information security.
Ensure the reliability, security, and continuity of hospital information systems (HIS/EMR).
Manage IT projects, system integration, technology improvements, and vendor relationships.
Develop IT strategies, policies, budgets, and operational priorities.
Lead and develop the IT team to ensure effective support for hospital operations.
Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare IT regulations and hospital accreditation requirements.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
A Master's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Technology Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
Minimum 7 years of experience in IT, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Prior working experience in a hospital environment is mandatory.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, databases, application management, and cybersecurity.
Experience in managing IT projects, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Prior experience working with or managing Medinfras Hospital Information System (SIMRS) is highly preferred.
Familiarity with healthcare system integration and SATUSEHAT is an advantage.
