Head of Product, Device
You will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a device portfolio. You will lead product direction from concept through manufacturing, launch, and field iteration; drive discovery; set requirements and success metrics; align cross-functional stakeholders; and build and mentor product managers.
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term product vision and roadmap for the device portfolio.
- Translate strategy, customer insights, operational learnings, constraints, manufacturing realities, and business objectives into product strategy.
- Own product direction across the full hardware lifecycle from concept exploration through in-field iteration.
- Drive product discovery through user research, field visits, operational data, customer feedback, and market understanding.
- Define product requirements, success metrics, priorities, and roadmap decisions.
- Partner with UX Design and Industrial Design to shape integrated user, operator, physical, and digital experiences.
- Collaborate with engineering, AI, manufacturing, supply chain, privacy, security, market operations, and executive stakeholders on product decisions.
- Lead product readiness for launches, including quality, field validation, operational readiness, issue prioritization, and post-launch learning.
- Build, mentor, and grow a team of product managers.
- Establish product practices and foster a culture of curiosity, rigorous thinking, accountability, and customer focus.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product management experience, including significant leadership responsibility for complex hardware and software products.
- Demonstrated success bringing products from early concept through production, launch, and global scale.
- Experience defining product strategy across hardware, software, AI, manufacturing, operations, and business considerations.
- Strong product judgment for usability, reliability, quality, and customer trust.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, make principled tradeoffs, and influence senior cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with design and engineering organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical fluency in disciplines such as consumer electronics, embedded systems, AI, biometrics, manufacturing, supply chain, reliability engineering, or global hardware deployment.
- Experience hiring, developing, and leading product teams.
- Willingness to travel globally.
