A stealth-mode AI-powered Cloud-Native Health-Tech company is looking for an experienced Head of QA.

Candidate will define and execute the QA strategy aligned with business/engineering goals, lead and mentor distributed QA teams, contribute hands-on to automation/framework design and troubleshooting, and optimize planning, execution, traceability, and QA KPIs while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Means of Communication

We use Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and similar collaboration tools for messaging, meetings, and document sharing across the organization. We don’t use Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams and similar software.

Cloud-Native

There’s real ability to make most solutions in a Cloud-Native and Third-Party Integrations manner, rarely spinning something self-hosted (e.g., over GKE). Fully Serverless Approach, based on Cloud Functions and Cloud Run is definitely not welcomed.

Team Building

The company partially compensates Team Building events, when multiple teammates are located in nearby countries.

What You’ll Do:

• Define and execute the QA strategy aligned with business and engineering goals.

• Lead and manage distributed teams of QA engineers.

• Contribute hands-on to test automation, framework design, and troubleshooting as needed.

• Manage and optimize test planning, execution, and traceability.

• Set and monitor key QA metrics and KPIs to ensure high-quality releases.

• Foster a collaborative QA culture that encourages innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of QA experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or Head of QA role.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience leading remote, distributed QA teams.

• Self-starter with strong initiative; willing to contribute hands-on to test design, execution, and automation.

• Proven mentorship and career development of QA staff.

• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and quality ownership.

• Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD).

Fundamentals

• Deep knowledge of Fundamentals, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Algorithms and Data Structures, etc, is always prioritized.

• This role is about evolving solutions through Incremental Delivery rather than a Waterfall-style approach.

• Stronger knowledge of Terraform and GCP is always prioritized.
