Head of VIP Retention
The Role
We're looking for a strategic, commercially accountable Head of VIP to own the design, performance, and continuous optimization of our VIP retention program across T1 and T2 casino markets. You will carry direct accountability for the health of our VIP deposit base — month-over-month growth is the standard, not the aspiration — while building the segmentation, cohort intelligence, and personalization engine that keeps our highest-value players engaged for years, not weeks. You'll lead through a dedicated VIP Team Leader who runs day-to-day execution, freeing you to focus on strategy, data, and the cross-functional relationships that make the program work — including a close technical partnership with our development team to ship the mechanics your strategy needs.
What You'll Own
- Deposit Performance: full ownership of monthly VIP deposit activity — you're accountable for sustaining month-over-month growth across the book, with decline treated as a signal to act, not a reporting footnote.
- Strategic Analytics & Segmentation: own the multi-tier segmentation framework (Mass Market / Pre-VIP / VIP) and the cohort model (Active, Churn, Reactivated, New), reviewed monthly, with 7-day, 14-day, and monthly performance reporting across every project and market.
- Player Intelligence: gather and cultivate behavioral and transactional data on loyal/VIP users to build a genuine individual profile of every high-value player — the foundation for real personalization, not generic segmentation.
- Program Strategy & Innovation: own the annual VIP Retention Marketing Calendar — campaign themes, offer mechanics, seasonal activations, and a structured A/B testing roadmap — and continuously evolve it so our program stays ahead of the market.
- Technical Delivery: partner directly with the development team to scope and land the product mechanics your retention strategy needs, from segmentation logic to new engagement instruments.
- Retention & Reactivation: build predictive churn early-warning capability, own win-back mechanics, and personally step in on high-stakes closure situations escalated by your Team Leader.
- Business Performance: own retention rate, ARPU, NGR, churn rate, reactivation rate, and LTV — and report on them monthly to leadership with clear, data-backed recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: align CRM, Marketing, Product, Compliance, Finance, and Development around VIP strategy; represent the segment at board level and build the business cases that get investment approved.
- Team Leadership: set the department's KPI framework and give strategic direction to your VIP Team Leader, who owns scheduling, coaching, QA, and the day-to-day player relationship.
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record building or scaling a VIP program in iGaming/gambling, with direct accountability for a deposit or revenue number — not just engagement metrics.
- Fluency with the metrics that actually run a VIP book: ARPU, NGR (not just GGR), churn and reactivation rate, cohort-based LTV, and how they connect to deposit performance.
- Experience turning player data into individual-level insight — you think in player profiles, not just segments — and comfort briefing technical teams to build the mechanics that insight requires.
- Experience leading through a manager layer rather than running a desk personally — confident setting direction and holding a Team Leader accountable to KPIs.
- Strong cross-functional influence, including a track record working directly with development/engineering teams to ship retention mechanics, not just request them.
- Working knowledge of the regulatory constraints that shape VIP marketing in T1/T2 markets (e.g. UK affordability checks, MGA/EU advertising rules, responsible gambling obligations).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; 3+ years in VIP management with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Why Join Us
- Own a strategic, P&L-facing mandate with real board visibility and a direct line into product development — not just a service-delivery brief.
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonus structure tied to the numbers you own.
- Remote-first, internationally distributed team.
- Genuine investment in your professional development within a fast-growing, multi-vertical igaming business.
