Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and service-driven Head Waiter for a prestigious wine farm in Stellenbosch.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing daily restaurant service, leading the waitstaff team and ensuring guests receive an exceptional dining experience within a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant service and ensure smooth floor operations.
  

• Lead, supervise and support the waitstaff team.
  

• Allocate sections and responsibilities to ensure efficient service.
  

• Ensure excellent guest relations and attend to guest requests.
  

• Maintain high standards of service, presentation and professionalism.
  

• Assist with staff training and development.
  

• Ensure the restaurant is correctly set up before and after service.
  

• Liaise with the kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless operations.
  

• Handle guest feedback and resolve service-related issues professionally.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Senior Waiter or in a similar supervisory role.
  

• Experience in a luxury hotel, restaurant or wine estate environment would be advantageous.
  

• Excellent food and beverage knowledge.
  

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
  

• A passion for hospitality, food and wine.
  

• Excellent guest service and interpersonal abilities.
  

• Professional presentation and a hands-on approach.
  

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high service standards.
