- Monitor compliance with state childcare licensing regulations, health department requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct routine facility inspections
- Maintain accurate records, reports, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and licensing visits.
- Stay current on changes to health, safety, and childcare regulations.
- Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities to improve workplace safety.
- Ensure proper sanitation, infection control, and emergency preparedness protocols are followed.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate emergency drills, including fire, severe weather, lockdown, and evacuation procedures.
- Train staff on health, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Provide ongoing coaching and guidance regarding Goddard’s Health and Safety requirements and safety best practices.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the school.
- Conduct regular inspections of classrooms, playgrounds, kitchens, and common areas.
- Coordinate with vendors and maintenance personnel to address safety concerns promptly.
- Monitor health standards and corrective actions.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance, health and safety, childcare operations, education administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of childcare licensing regulations and workplace safety practices preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping systems.
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- Experience conducting audits and compliance inspections.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
