We are looking for a HSE Coordinator to join our team, specializing in Health, Safety, and Environment for our Fuel Systems Business located in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Job Summary

Coordinate, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, corporate policies, and international standards. This role promotes a prevention-focused culture, minimizes operational risks, and supports safe and sustainable conditions across automotive manufacturing operations.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Coordinate the implementation of industrial safety and risk prevention programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican Official Standards (NOM-STPS) and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and plant safety audits.
  • Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report safety performance indicators.
  • Coordinate safety observation and behavior-based safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with high-risk work permits, including confined space entry, working at heights, lockout/tagout (LOTO), welding, and related activities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental requirements, permits, and applicable licenses.
  • Maintain and continuously improve management systems based on ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
  • Support internal, external, and certification audits.
  • Manage corrective and preventive actions resulting from audits.
  • Ensure HSE procedures, work instructions, and documentation are updated and maintained.
  • Develop and deliver health, safety, and environmental training programs.
  • Promote awareness campaigns and a strong safety culture.
  • Provide HSE guidance and support to leaders, supervisors, and employees.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and sustainability.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • More than 5 years of experience in HSE roles within manufacturing companies.
  • Experience leading incident investigations and audits, utilizing problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone Diagram), and other root cause analysis tools.
  • Strong experience in risk assessment and hazard analysis.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 management systems.
  • Knowledge of STPS regulations and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Advanced conversational English.
