Health & Safety Intern, Summer 2026

Dee Zee, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Health & Safety Intern to support workplace safety initiatives and compliance programs that promote a safe and healthy manufacturing environment. This internship offers hands-on experience with safety training, incident investigations, and compliance documentation while working alongside experienced safety professionals.
Accountabilities

Assist with safety data tracking and compliance recordkeeping.

Support incident and near-miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up.

Participate in safety inspections and hazard identification activities on the plant floor.

Help develop and maintain training records and safety-related documentation.

Assist in employee orientation sessions, focusing on health and safety requirements.

Contribute to cross-functional projects that improve workplace safety culture.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Industrial Technology, Industrial Management, or a related field.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Interest in workplace safety, compliance, or manufacturing operations.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and variable temperatures.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams.
