IT Support Technician (Help Desk/Desktop Support)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide both Help Desk and Desktop Support services in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role will support end users through phone-based troubleshooting as well as hands-on technical support, including workstation setup, hardware installations, printer support, asset management, and break-fix activities.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, enjoys helping others, and is eager to learn and grow within IT. This position offers exposure to enterprise-level technologies and the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative and supportive technical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 Help Desk support via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and Windows operating system issues.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support teams as needed.
  • Create, update, and document service requests and incident tickets within the ticketing system.
  • Support Microsoft 365 (O365) user account provisioning and basic administration.
  • Perform desktop deployments, installations, upgrades, and equipment replacements.
  • Provide printer support, break-fix services, and general end-user technical assistance.
  • Assist with asset management, inventory tracking, and organization of IT equipment.
  • Support project-based IT initiatives, including hardware rollouts and equipment setup.
  • Assist with moving, organizing, and preparing IT assets and equipment for deployment.
  • Collaborate with Help Desk, Desktop Support, and Network Operations teams to ensure excellent customer service.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to assist end users and team members.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 (O365) and experience provisioning user accounts.
  • Experience providing Tier 1 technical support in a Windows environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and develop technical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support experience.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management processes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level IT environments.
  • Knowledge of hardware installations, imaging, device deployment, and troubleshooting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
