About the role
We're looking for an Entry Level Helpdesk Engineer to join our support team. This is a fantastic entry point into the IT industry — full training is provided, and there's a clear path to grow into a broader engineering role as your skills and experience develop. You'll be the first point of contact for our clients, so customer service skills are essential to succeeding in this role — just as important as your technical ability. IT skills can be taught, but the ability to listen, communicate clearly, and make clients feel heard and supported cannot.
Key responsibilities
Answering incoming helpdesk phone calls and providing a great first impression for our clients
Logging and managing support tickets in our helpdesk software
Providing Level 1 phone support on a range of computing and technology issues, escalating to senior engineers where needed
Day-to-day monitoring and configuration of our third-party Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools
General hardware and software troubleshooting
Picking up other IT-related tasks as they arise — the role will grow as you do
About you
Strong customer service skills and a great phone manner — you genuinely enjoy helping people
A positive, customer-focused attitude and willingness to learn
Comfortable using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Windows operating systems
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to retain new information quickly
Some exposure to Linux operating systems (nice to have)
Basic understanding of VoIP, IP networking, virtualization, or scripting (nice to have)
Any prior customer service or call center experience (nice to have)
