HILS Validation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Validation of ECU functions, preferably in the Body Electronics domain / Power Train / ADAS
• Responsible for Requirement Analysis, effort estimation, and work breakdown.
• Responsible for writing Test Specifications, Test automation in a HiL environment, preferably Vector tool chains like CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio or AKKODis tool chains like PROVEtech, execution of the test automation framework and reporting test defects to ensure 100% Software test coverage.
• Responsible for all the activities of the Hardware-in-the-Loop team with an aim to improve the overall Competency within the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science/electrical & Electronics/ Masters in Computer Applications.
• Experience in Software Validation activities, including Test specification development and Implementation of a test automation framework using Automation tools.
• Good understanding of the SW Validation cycle (V-model).
• Must have played a key role in the complete lifecycle of at least 2 to 3 HiL testing projects.

Technical Skills:

• Must have played a key role in the complete lifecycle of at least 2 to 3 HiL testing projects.
• Must have good exposure to scripting languages like CAPL or Python.
• Must have good exposure to VT/dSpace/ETAS HiL setups.
• Must be aware of Communication protocols like CAN, LIN, ETHERNET.
• Must know Diagnostic protocols like UDS(i14229).
• Exposure to configuration management tools like SVN, DOORS is preferred.
• Exposure to testing tools like CANape, CANoe vTESTstudio and PROVEtech: TA.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in and contribute as a good team player.
• Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment is an added advantage.
