About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Python Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, framework development, API testing, and CI/CD implementation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable automation frameworks using Python and modern testing tools, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks using Python.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for Web, API, and Backend applications.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test strategies and ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Maintain automation standards, reporting, and test documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and test estimations.

Required Skills

• 6 to 10 years of experience in QA Automation Testing.
• Strong programming expertise in Python and Shell Scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Pytest, Unittest, and Robot Framework.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for UI automation.
• Strong API testing experience using Postman, Python Requests, Pytest API frameworks, or similar tools.
• Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
• Good knowledge of MySQL, SQL query writing, and backend validation.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and Oracle Databases.
• Exposure to Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Docker.
• Strong understanding of test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with JIRA and test management tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to cloud-based test automation environments.
• Knowledge of performance and integration testing.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
