Job Summary
The Home Energy Coordinator is primarily responsible for the administrative coordination and management of home energy assessment and insulation activities. This includes dispatching assessments and installs, managing all necessary paperwork, and handling submissions to the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Coordinate home energy assessments and insulation installs with homeowners and internal teams.
  • Monitor the master schedule to ensure timely completion of assessments and insulation with coordination of other involved NOCO business units (HVAC, lighting, etc).
  • Communicate effectively with homeowners to confirm appointments and provide necessary pre-assessment information.
  • Assist assessors in preparing for site visits, including ensuring they have all necessary tools, equipment, and documentation.
  • Monitor the progress of assessments and provide support to resolve any issues that arise during the process.
  • Review assessment surveys for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with NYSERDA guidelines.
  • Ensure all required paperwork and documentation for NYSERDA is completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NYSERDA programs, incentives, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with NYSERDA representatives to address any issues or discrepancies in submissions.
  • Track and report on the status of all submissions to ensure compliance and successful processing.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the assessment process.
  • Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare regular reports on assessment activities, including key performance indicators and compliance metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the assessment process.
  • Occasionally attend community engagement events, as needed.

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative support role
  • Experience in a related industry, such as HVAC or plumbing, preferred
  • Experience with NYSERDA programs and requirements highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective time-management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a strong commitment to team success and customer satisfaction
  • Positive, can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills
