Hospitalist
Location: Deaconess Hospital (Gateway, Midtown, Henderson)
- There are a total of 53+ employed Hospitalists in the group
- Program was started approximately 23 years ago
- Shifts are 12 hours in length
- Shift available (8a – 8p)
- 180 shifts/year (full-time), 15 shifts per month, with flexible scheduling
- Average # of admissions:
- Gateway: 14-16 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 8pm and Round Robin admissions from 8am-4pm
- Midtown: 16-18 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 8pm
- Henderson: 10-14 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 7pm and round robin admissions from 7am-3pm
- Two Nocturnists per night at Midtown and Gateway; 8p-8a
- One Nocturnists per night at Henderson; 7p-7a
- Referral base includes ED visits, direct admissions, and regional transfers
- Robust subspecialty support
- Procedures not required
