Host
Reports to: Restaurant Manager
About the Role
You’re the first smile, the first impression, and the opening note of the whole Hash House experience. As a Host, you set the tone the moment guests walk through the door. You’re not just managing a waitlist, you’re orchestrating the flow of the restaurant like a front-of-house conductor.
If you’re quick on your feet, great with people, and can juggle a little chaos with style, this is your stage.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome every guest with genuine energy and a warm, confident presence
- Create a smooth, organized flow from the front door to the dining room
- Manage waitlists, reservations, and walk-ins with accuracy and efficiency
- Provide clear and realistic wait times while keeping guests engaged and comfortable
- Seat guests strategically to balance service across all sections
- Accommodate special requests whenever possible to elevate the guest experience
- Present menus and introduce guests to their server upon seating
- Keep a sharp eye on table readiness, cleanliness, and presentation
- Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and managers to keep service running strong
- Open doors, offer farewells, and leave every guest with a reason to come back
