Job Description

We are looking for a HR Partner to join our team of HR Business Partners that supports a group of Research Centres and Institutes at CLS/MD6 Cluster. You will partner and support the business line heads and managers to handle a full spectrum of HR functions which includes talent acquisition, staff retention, compensation, performance appraisals, as well as talent management and development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities would include the following:

    • Partnering with academic leaders, function heads, and line managers to provide HR advisory support aligned with organisational goals, policies, procedures and practices.
    • Managing the recruitment, appointment and re-appointment of Principal Investigators, Research, Academic, Executive and Administrative staff.
    • Facilitating the annual performance reviews and compensation process for staff.
    • Advising and coaching people managers on HR policies, employee matters, performance management, and people development.
    • Managing employee feedback, addressing workplace concerns and recommending appropriate solutions where needed.
    • Partnering with HR Centres of Excellence to implement people strategies.
    • Supporting HR projects and other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications

    • Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
    • Knowledge of the Employment Act, labour laws and Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices.
    • AI literacy, with the ability to use workplace AI assistants, people analytics dashboards and automated HR software.
    • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
    • A collaborative team player who considers the interests of the team and the University.
