Role Overview

Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR) is seeking a HR Data Analyst in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to manage workforce data integrity and generate strategic insights for our refining and corporate operations. This role ensures accurate reporting for Saudization, GOSI, and MHRSD compliance while supporting data‑driven decision‑making. The analyst will maintain HRIS accuracy and develop dashboards that track key metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and labor costs.

The HR Data Analyst will report directly to the VP of HR and will play a key role in transforming raw personnel data into actionable intelligence. This position supports the optimization of workforce planning and ensures regulatory compliance across all SGR facilities.

Key Responsibilities

The HR Data Analyst will execute the following responsibilities to ensure data accuracy and strategic insight.

Data Integrity Management

The role maintains the accuracy of employee master data in the HRIS by conducting weekly audits and correcting discrepancies in job titles, cost centers, and reporting lines.

Regulatory Compliance Reporting

This position prepares and submits monthly Nitaqat and GOSI reports to ensure SGR meets all Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development requirements.

The analyst designs and updates Power BI dashboards that visualize workforce trends including turnover rates, time‑to‑fill, and overtime expenditures.

Workforce Analytics

The role analyzes shift coverage and absenteeism data to identify operational risks and support workforce planning for plant and laboratory staff.

System Administration

This position administers user access and permissions within the HRIS to ensure data security and proper role‑based visibility for HR staff.

Audit Support

The analyst provides verified workforce data and documentation trails to support internal audits and external regulatory inspections.

Process Automation

This role identifies manual reporting tasks and develops SQL queries or Excel macros to automate data extraction and reduce processing time.

Stakeholder Collaboration

The analyst collaborates with Finance and IT to reconcile headcount costs and resolve integration issues between HRIS and payroll systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in HR analytics or workforce planning within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel functions including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macro automation.
  • Demonstrated experience with HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or Workday.
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi labor laws, GOSI regulations, and MHRSD digital platforms including Qiwa and Mudad.
  • Ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Saudization tiers and the impact of Nitaqat ratings on operational licensing.
  • Fluency in English is required for reporting and system navigation, with Arabic proficiency preferred for local regulatory interaction.

Preferred / Nice‑to‑have

  • Experience in the mining, refining, or heavy industry sector with exposure to shift‑based workforce structures.
  • Certification in Human Resources Analytics or People Analytics from a recognized professional body.
  • Prior experience supporting LBMA or ISO audits with workforce documentation and traceability records.
  • Knowledge of Power Query and DAX for advanced data modeling and transformation.
  • Familiarity with visa and residency management processes via Muqeem and Absher platforms.

Success Metrics

  • 100% accuracy in monthly GOSI and MHRSD submissions with zero regulatory penalties.
  • 40% reduction in manual reporting time through the automation of key HR dashboards.

  • Successful integration of HRIS data with Finance systems for accurate monthly headcount reconciliation.
