HR Generalist

Recruiting to fill roles with the right talent by performing the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interview scheduling and coordination, offers, pre-boarding, and onboarding activity
Administer and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (Zoho Recruit), including job postings, candidate pipeline management, and recruitment reporting
Collaborate with management to understand skills and competencies required for job openings
Consult with executive leadership on HR policy development, employment law compliance, and organizational risk mitigation strategies
Manage organization-wide job description administration, including routine maintenance, necessary updates, and new position documentation
Develop and manage external partnerships in support of talent acquisition, such as educational institutions and industry groups
Leverage AI tools (Claude preferred) to improve HR workflow efficiency, including drafting job descriptions, policy documents, and candidate communications
Policy development and documentation
Serve as benefits liaison
Regulatory compliance and reporting
Employee recognition programs
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all applicable state and federal laws; recommend and implements policies and processes accordingly
Nurture a positive working environment
Manage multi-state employer registrations and filings, including state tax accounts, unemployment insurance, new hire reporting, and compliance with varying state employment laws
Manage employee relations matters including performance counseling, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations, ensuring consistency and legal compliance
Design and execute employee engagement initiatives including company retreat, surveys, recognition programs, team-building activities, and feedback loops that strengthen culture and retention

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or another related field
3+ years related work experience
Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to operate in a fast-paced technical environment

Requires learning agility, discipline, flexibility, self-start, self-direction, forward-thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
Hands-on experience with payroll platforms (ADP preferred)
Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (Zoho Recruit preferred)
Demonstrated ability to partner with and advise senior or executive leadership on HR policy and legal matters
Comfort using AI tools to automate and streamline HR tasks
Experience managing multi-state employer registrations, tax accounts, and employment law compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Process company-wide payroll using ADP, including time tracking, garnishments, tax filings, and year-end W-2 reporting
Experience handling employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution across all levels of the organization

SHRM-CP and/or PHR Certification
