HR Generalist II - Leaves of Absence & Talent Acquisition

This is a hybrid role, in-office days will be based out of the Administrative Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on HR support across key HR functions with a focus on Recruiting, Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations.
- Leaves of Absence: Consults with employees and managers on leaves of absence and accommodations and manages LOA processes.
- Manages the leave administration process from the employees initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
- Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, OFLA, PLO and other state and local laws.
- May field requests for medical accommodations and engages in the interactive process.
- Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with HR team to identify talent and culture initiatives in support of WHA Values and culture goals.
- Screens applications and resumes, coordinates phone/virtual/in-person interviews.
- Promotes a high-quality candidate experience.
- Consults with hiring managers and other key stakeholders to fill open positions and makes recommendations on appropriate candidates for the position.
- Employee Relations: Consult with managers and employees to ensure a positive and productive workplace. This includes resolving conflicts, supporting performance management, and promoting effective communication.
- Review, refine, and document HR processes (e.g., compensation, performance management, etc.,) to ensure alignment with company goals and enhance the employee experience.
- Support employee engagement efforts that foster trust, collaboration and growth.
- Act as a culture ambassador by gathering feedback, analyzing trends, and translating insights into action.
- Champion and embed company values across all levels of the organization.
