About the Role

First Excelsia is recruiting on behalf of its client for an experienced HR Manager to oversee human resource operations, talent acquisition, employee relations and workforce development, preferably within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies and strategies.
• Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding and staff placement.
• Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters and staff welfare.
• Coordinate performance appraisals and staff development programmes.
• Oversee payroll coordination, compensation, leave management and employee records.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and employment regulations.
• Manage workforce planning and staffing requirements.
• Drive employee engagement, retention and workplace culture.
• Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics for Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Healthcare or hospital HR experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of HR operations and Nigerian labour laws.
• Master's degree or professional certifications such as CIPM, SHRM or HRCI are an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• High integrity, confidentiality and organisational skills.
