HR Operations & Program Manager
Summary
GeneFab is hiring an HR Operations & Program Manager to own HR systems and the full employee lifecycle — benefits and 401(k) administration, immigration/visa processing, records, performance management, policy compliance, engagement programs, and recruiting/ATS management — working from its Alameda, CA HQ and coordinating across U.S. and Taiwan entities.
Responsibilities:
HR Operations / Generalist
- Own all internal HR systems including end to end employee lifecycle management, maintain HR records and filing systems
- Administer GeneFab's Employee Total Reward program, including core benefits, 401K, onsite perks, etc.
- Manage immigration and visa processing
- Maintain and issue all HR records (i.e. offer letters, general templates, separation agreements, etc.)
HRBP
- Own, maintain, and continuously update the employee handbook and underlying people policies to ensure State and Federal compliance.
- Own the end-to-end performance management cycle
- Partner with Finance, IT, and Internal Audit team to business operations compliant and keep people policies and practices reasonably aligned across GeneFab's U.S. and Taiwan entities.
- Oversee compliance training and Learning and Development
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve or automate HR best practices and policies as GeneFab grows
- Serve as a trusted resource for all GeneFab employees
HR Programs
- Develop recognition and engagement programming
- Coordinate Company special events
- Assess and analyze employee engagement via employee surveys
- Partner with Executive Leadership to implement employee feedback
- Create onboarding and new hire experience programming
Recruiting
- Oversee recruiting processes and advise on recruiting best practices
- Maintain and manage Company ATS
- Participate in Company's interviewing processes
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of progressive HR experience, including direct, hands-on ownership of the full employee lifecycle.
- Must be able to maintain discretion, professional integrity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Hands-on experience administering group health and welfare benefits programs, including open enrollment, carrier/broker relationships, and 401(k) coordination.
- Ideal candidate has experience working at an early-stage Company. Must be comfortable managing various priorities and building trust.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to translate policy and process into plain language for employees and managers at every level.
- Direct experience supporting Recruiting, proficient in ATS management
- Experience in a life sciences, manufacturing, or other regulated, cGMP-adjacent environment is strongly preferred; comfort coordinating across U.S. and international offices (e.g., Taiwan) is a plus.
- Must be able to work from GeneFab's ALM HQ on a regular and consistent basis.
