HR-People and Culture Manager
Position: HR, People & Culture Manager
NextGen Group is seeking an energetic and experienced HR, People & Culture Manager to strengthen our workplace culture and manage the complete employee lifecycle across our growing organisation.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, retention, engagement, payroll coordination and ongoing HR matters. The successful candidate will build a positive, accountable and high-performing culture in which employees feel connected, supported and motivated.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment, interviewing, selection and onboarding.
- Manage probation reviews and structured performance-review cycles.
- Develop training plans and coordinate employee learning and development.
- Support managers with performance, conduct and employee-relations matters.
- Implement initiatives to improve retention, engagement and team spirit.
- Coordinate payroll inputs and ensure accurate, timely payroll processing.
- Maintain employment records, policies, procedures and HR documentation.
- Monitor attendance, leave, employee turnover and workforce trends.
- Organise team events, recognition programs and engagement activities.
- Encourage employee participation and collaboration across departments.
- Conduct employee surveys and convert feedback into practical improvements.
- Prepare regular HR reports and people metrics for management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
Requirements
Candidate Profile
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in HR, Business or a related field.
- 7+ years of generalist HR experience, including team or managerial responsibility.
- Strong experience in recruitment, performance management, training and employee relations.
- Working knowledge of Indian employment practices and payroll processes.
- Excellent communication, organisation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Practical, approachable and capable of balancing employee experience with business needs.
